I enjoy listening to the Jason Carter

I’ll listen to any podcast that Jason does. He’s a pretty frank guy when it comes to hunting and being successful. He did a YouTube segment with this one social media guy and said social media guy essentially said “man they just don’t grow that big of deer here” and “I just don’t have the time to put in to getting on deer like this” and Jason, in as kind of a way as he could, told him to cut the excuses. There’s people out there that prioritize their time and go get it done on big deer every year where the social media guy lives. If that’s not your priority then that’s why you ultimately aren’t always successful. It’s not because the big deer aren’t there or that there’s not enough time in the day, that’s just not your priority. If you made time to do it then you would do it.

I enjoy people like that. Not all this “I could be better but I don’t have this or that or the other thing. I should give myself a pat on the back anyway.” You could be better but you don’t put in the effort or the time. And if you don’t put in the effort or the time because you’d rather spend it raising your family then that’s a great reason, but that’s the choice you make.

Ok I’ll stop rambling.

There's enough participation trophy shit going on that we're stuck with, i've got no interest in supporting it.

Weird how comfortable people have gotten talking shit through a computer. This website should be productive and constructive, not destructive.

Any episodes in particular? I thought the early gritty bowmen was fun, especially when Aron was on. Was never really interested in Brian by himself, then it became a commercial for sitka and crispi. I listened to a couple of early kifarucasts, neither good nor bad, just not appealing enough to hold my attention.

The reason I ask about any particular episodes, is that I always thought Aron was funny and sometimes quite informative... But never came across as arrogant or douchey to me. When did it go south in your opinion? Curious to listen and see if its different from a year ago.
Maybe so, but I guarantee that if someone came on this forum and pumped their own tires as much as he does on kifarucast, he would get shutdown in one way or another pretty fast, even if he has tons of street credit.
Not to mention putting others down because they are lesser hunters....
Its just piss pore sportsmanship.

Its pretty simple...

If you don't like it, don't listen to it.

Bingo. Brian and Aron have done a ton to help guys be more successful in the woods. Pure and simple. Brian does it to feed his family, Aron does it, just to do it. If you are hating, make sure you are bringing something better to the table!!

Edit to mention I run a Stone Glacier pack. My only Kifaru item is a pullout....lol

I don't really mind hearing Aaron say he's a good hunter. What does bother me is people endorsing products but not just being upfront and say what is an ad. Gritty has lost most of its appeal for that reason. That started right about the time he started trying to say it is less ethical to not use a Garmin sight. I think it is fine to criticize as well. Nobody has to take mine, but if we just pretend everything is great we'll never get better.

Yep, different strokes for different folks. I can’t take anything Gritty now. Kifarucast is refreshing. Epic is my favorite, those boys there know their stuff too.

I like it Aron does not bull shit and cares little about being pc. Plus his info is backed with actions.

The only thing I’ve heard Aron talk about that might come that way is his shooting. Apparently he is a next level shooter and I have gotten tired of hearing about it but even that I didn’t think came across as arrogant. I listen to the episodes I’m interested in and skip the other. Thank goodness we don’t have to listen to the radio anymore. My main complaint with Kifarucast is the language and adult content. Joking about porn and stuff. It’s fine they’re just being themselves, I just wish they would tone it down just a fuzz. Even meat eater uses the F word on his podcast now. I remember when he didn’t at first. I could let the podcast play in my shop while the kids were around but now I just listen to it when I’m alone.

Ok I need to take back what I said about MeatEater. I’ve listened to several of his podcast lately and I was not correct about that. I believe I was thinking of the Rich Outdoors podcast not MeatEater. Sorry about that.

I concur with those that find him entertaining and fun to listen to... to each his own. I rarely listen to gritty anymore as it seems to be nonstop product placement.

Why is it always “hating” to have an opinion other than pumping sunshine? I hear all these podcast guys talk about their “haters”. Give me a break. If you’re going to put stuff out there, expect it to get push back. They might even learn from their critics if they took the time and stopped using “haters” as a shield against any criticism. I’m sure they get hate mail from morons with nothing productive to say but to force people into two sides either fanboy or hater is just immature.

I agree that both were better together as Brian could be the setup or play by play and Aron could be color commentary.

Kifarucast is one of my favorites. I quit listening to Gritty long ago, he's a sellout and anything MNTOPS related I can't really stand. I think Aron is pretty down to earth, always tells it like it is, never once felt like he was bragging about being better than anyone

I agree, listening to them kinda of reminds me of hearing two 9 yr olds making jokes about farting and hang downs. Not sure how that helps business? :p

It's one of my favorites. Different. Sure there's things about it I don't love. They're all hit or miss. Lots of podcasts to choose from.

It's the podcast that I listen to the most. That and Randy's. I've listened to it enough that I know how they talk. If you have a problem with it, there are other options out their. I think it is funny that the platform you are choosing to complain about the Kifarucast was made by Aron. To each their own.

Some of these podcasts are the 2018 version of an oxyclean commercial. Between Sitka, mtn ops, and everything Dudley says, someone who doesn’t have to constantly push a product is refreshing.

Which doesn’t automatically equate to having to agree with everything he says or does, does it ?? If this is a “Fanboy” only forum or product then it truly is time to find other companys to get behind. Thankfully it doesn’t seem like Aaron is the kind of guy to surround himself by yes men...
