Hey everyone,
I see there's a bit more interest for a group buy. I'm not sure it'll happen again this year or not, still working on finalizing a website which if/when it does go up there will likely be a rokslide discount code! If that does happen it'll be posted here as well. Thank you for the business and interest!

Figure I'd update this thread some.

Finally got around to working up a load for the 7 WSM Carbon barrel Mike spun up for me:
Shot 4 shots here and liked what I saw:

Stepped inside and loaded up 4 more to verify:

I think I can work with that. The 175 eldx at 3090 fps might actually kill something even despite being of the .284 variety. :)

Bertram brass of course. Need nearly 2.5 more grains of the same powder to get the same velocity with Winchester 7 wsm and the ES is higher. So Bertram likely has less volume but hopefully stouter. :)

There is no way a .284 is good for anything but paper. ;) I love the look of that carbon barrel in the chassis, sweet rifle for sure.

I just like seeing a snow machine trailer being used for something worthwhile!! :)

Mike, I'm definitely interested if you put together another group buy.

Finally after 5-6 months waiting for my stock to get built at McMillian they shipped it out to Mike at HCA to put the rest of my rig together. Planning to get out this weekend to put some 143 gr ELD-X down the tube.

In the interim I thought I would post some soft gun porn for those who maybe contemplating trying out one of Mike's masterpieces. Needless to say I'm very excited to shoot my new gun.

Yep, 6.5 CM wanted something different than my 300 WM for these CA blacktail.

I hear ya, Mike should be getting my 300WSM today to start some work on it and then I am running a 6.5x284. But, I keep thinking about a 6.5CM...I can't stop thinking about it actually.
