    2017 CO Early Rifle Deer Hunt - Opinions

    Unit 6/7 early season is little different as 6 is above timberline and 7 is within Rawah Wilderness Sept 3-Sept 11. When they did unit 6 early Sept 26-Oct 4 they used E2-R. If you look at early Sept 3-Sept 11 unit 14,16,161 Mt Zirkel Widerness when they did Early Sept 26-Oct unit 16 it's E1-R.

    Feedback on a rebarrel

    Lot of good ones Bartlein,Mike Rock,Broughton,Brux,Kreiger,Lilja,Hart are some of the ones I'm shooting. It may not be who's barrel I want to use but what barrel can I get. I would get hold of gunsmith you plan on using and see what he can get.

    7mm Mag Load Data for 168 and 175 gr Accubond LR's??

    280 AI Loads

    Nosler got a load for the 280AI start 57.5gr/IMR-7828 to max of 61.5gr @ 3043fps with 160gr AB. I'm loading 60.5gr/IMR-7828ssc with 160gr AB @ 3046fps. For the 168gr Bergers I'm using Hodgdon data IMR-7828ssc and H-4831sc and I haven't chrono any of those loads yet just like to get some more...

    First SS Rifle

    I reload for my varmint partner's T-3 in 300WSM and it's very accurate rifle. I much prefer rifle without a removable magazine in fact none of my elk/deer or antelope rifles have one.

    I've always had good luck with IMR-7828/IMR-7828ssc in the 300Wby,257Wby.
