Question, how tight are you guys torquing your actions screws and in what order for the best accuracy? The answer to this question is all over the place on other forums and never the same answer.

Should have stayed with my original guess, hahahah. Nice that it shoots better, maybe just a re-crown is all it needed??? Keep us posted on the accuracy.

Just got back from the range, the Hunter 6.5 felt great with the weight reduction, I don't have another rifle close to this cal or weight but I would say it felt and handled like a .243 IMO. No real vibration or extra noise. Love it!!!! Now just need to work up some loads for Sheep.

Hoppes #9 gun oil, I guess any lube oil would work, used a long skinny flat head and work it around the inside of the stock with the screwdriver between the stock and gel, I kept adding the oil as i worked the screw driver around. Then I jammed a bigger flat head in the center of the gel and...

Well I'll be damn, got the whole piece of gel to come out at once, a long skinny flat head screwdriver, half a bottle of Hoppes # 9 oil. And Bam! 6.7oz gone

Took my bolt apart and weighed out the handle, 37.26 grams or 1.2oz. Looks like I'm spending some money,,haha.

Roger that, looks like I'll start picking and digging. I already cut out as much of the excess rubber in the butt pad. Would like to get down around the 5# range as well. The scope I've got is the Leupold Freedom VX 4x14X40 weighs in 13oz. So closer I can get to under 6lbs the better I also...
