Antelope Draw question
My party has 2 Antelope points and 2 muley points. We wanted to wait until we had at least 4 points to enter the draw on some better units. In the meantime can I enter the draw on "zero point" draw units without burning my points? -

Drop camp/Packout Services in SE Idaho
We will probably do a spike camp a few miles back and go from here. We truck camped this past year in the Salmon Zone and it was a friggin circus. Trying to avoid that this coming year. -

Going back to ID again in 2020. 3 of us going this time. I was thinking about flying out to reduce the time lost to driving and would like to ship my gear ahead of time and possibly have an outfitter set up a drop camp. The other thought is to have access to a packout service if we are lucky... -

Idaho Report
Salmon/Challis was pretty over run with ATV's and campers when were there at the end of October. A TON of road hunters! We got away from the camps and up above 7k ft and got our elk. Didn't see the first one until Day 8. -

Salmon zone Idaho
Just got back from the Salmon/Challis area. Tagged out with a rag horn on the last day of our trip. Didn't see our first elk til the second to last day. Never saw a wolf but did see tracks. The country is rough but not insurmountable if you are in decent shape. (I'm 6'2" 225-230) There are... -

Getting meat home
Headed to ID in Oct. I would imagine it should be cold enough by then that dry ice and frozen meat will keep for some time. Does anyone have any recommendations for processors in Central ID? -

Elk kills with a .270?
I am hand loading 150 gr partitions for my Rem 700 270 and am consistently seeing 2900 fps. Ringing steel at 500 yds is not an issue and by the calcs I am still over 1500 foot lbs at 500 yds. That is plenty to kill an elk. -

Wolves in ID
I'm headed to central ID for rifle season and will have a wolf, elk and deer tag. Here's to hoping for punched tags and heavy packs! -

Why not Utah or Idaho?
Headed to Idaho in October. The CO seasons and perceived hunter populations were a bit of a turn off.
