    Why don;t we just shoot everything at 1000g+ since that gets an A+ across the board? I shoot fairly heavy arrows for elk at around 550g. Maybe I'll just start nocking two at a time to get over 1000g.

    Different calls work well for different people. I like to use the Phelps red one (I forget the name), but it does good herd bulls, but you can also get some good cow chirps from it. As a beginner that one worked well for me.

    I'm a Wy resident so I could be off on this. When you look at your tag it will list the dates for archery (with required archery tag) and dates for rifle. If you hold the tag you can add on archery and do either season. Double check all this, but that's how it works for the tags I've held in Wy.
