What else are you running on that pack? It looks like some large pockets and maybe the guide lid? That's the setup that I want, and same colors. I'm completely impressed with that picture!
That was a huge concern of mine. In Idaho you seem to very often hit all 4 seasons in one day so having multiple layers is a must. Are you able to fit extra layers into your Stryker along with your hunting gear?.
I'm thinking I may need the guide lid or or another pack just for layers, on...
I'm currently looking at several of these packs and I'm left in suspense to get the part 2 details and impressions through his use of the packs. This is one of the best reviews I've seen, and actually relevant, in my opinion.
I'm also looking at getting the Kifaru frame but I've been undecided on which pack, but your comment about strapping a whole doe to the Stryker, even if it was small, it's impressive. Was your gear inside the pack smashed really bad when you used the cargo feature of the Stryker?

I don't know if I'll get any replies but...
I just want to say that this thread has been enlightening to me as someone who was specifically looking to buy either the EXO OR Kifaru. Thank you everyone for taking the time to give honest feedback on these great packs and their experiences!
I'm currently looking to buy a new pack and I thought I was sold on EXO, but I've heard numerous reports of slippage. I do have a deep lumbar, I'm wondering if you think that contributes to the slippage of EXO when packing heavier loads?
I'm currently leaning towards Kifaru, since I don't have...
For what it's worth, I love these threads that give honest reviews on high quality gear. Obviously there's no one size fits all so it's great to see reviews that can be used to help others make decisions. Great content!
Hi all, this is my first post, but I've been reading and following for years. I recently decided that I needed a desperate upgrade for my hunting pack. I hoping for some input from the group.
I currently own a Horn Hunter Mainframe that is a great day pack, but not good for packing any meat...
