Bought a Ultra 7r and a Western Mountaneering Kodiak after the '22 season. Both were only about 2 oz more than what i had prior. But man what a difference in warmth and comfort. Sleeping was never so joyful this season.
I have a Generac 7500e that i backfeed into my house when needed. Peak wattage is 9375. Thats just barely enough to run the bigger things like central air if everything else is off. It is plenty to run well pump, lights and freezers though.

A quick scan of the WWW says that pertex has a rating from 10,000-20,000 mm/24hrs and goretex is rated at 28,000. So the gore should be better. Theres no such thing as waterpproof unless its a rubber bag. Your mileage may vary.
Many folks use regular treated limber for post instead of ground contact treated. They are not the same and the regular treated will eventually rot. Im in the camp of never using concrete. Just unneeded and expensive.
I had a DT2 and the strappyness drove me nuts. Especially having 6 to 8 buckles/straps to undo if carrying a weapon on back just to get something out. The Ma Duece solves all that and s fine in day mode unless you are only looking for 1000 cu in. Then maybe consider a smaller pack.
