If you have the option and time to spend there’s no way you shouldn’t bring a bow. That would be the time you’d have bulls at 40 yards off the road lol. I killed mine last year right off the road at 60 yards
I have my 10 year old shooting a hinge. Tru ball ht. With a trigger he wanted to punch it off at first but now after a year on the hinge he can shoot a trigger properly. I like the idea of taking a trigger out of the process when teaching them. A resistance release would be a great starter too
I really like hinges. I have been through a decent amount in the past years but my favorite is the Tru Ball HBC flex. The micro adjust head and ability to adjust the finger position is awesome. You can put a lanyard on it for hunting too. I go no click for target click for hunting just so I can...
Check out solid archery mechanics on the Push archery website. It’s Tom clum vertual teaching. There’s also Roots, which is Rod Jenkins teaching. I haven’t bought roots but I have several of the Masters of the Barebow films with Rod and would be willing to bet Roots is worth the money too.
Bob lee makes an amazing bow. Headland custom bows is another I have and am pleased with, and for a long bow big stick archery is a nice hybrid. I’ve shot a toelke and stalker as well both were great bows. But I keep going back to my Lee every time I try to switch.
I lucked out and saw one brand new on RMS gear. I plan on ordering another one at some point to have a back up. Whatever his wait is would be worth it. It’s a shooter
I had the met calf for a while and finally got my hands on a Kifaru. I have carried a lot of weight in each and to me the Kifaru is hands down more comfortable
Had my right hip done last year. I’m 30 and in very good shape. I was running 2-4 miles a day in 3 months. And carrying bear bait to my bait station earlier then that. It’s worth getting it done. I had hip pain for 12 years.
