It is not a hunting pressure problem, it is a predator management problem. To say otherwise is BS and masking the real reason, $$$$$. Deer numbers have plummeted where I hunt and it is not because of over harvesting or even winter kill (although in some areas that has been a factor)...
FWIW, I am glad I went with the 3-15 over the 2-10. Definitely not a lightweight scope, but great quality for the price. Another scope to think about that would be in that group is the burris veracity.
Have a tract toric on my .300WM and it is a great scope. Jon seems to be a great guy and they have top notch customer service. I had some questions when mounting my scope and one of the Jon's got right back to me. I would buy another if I needed one for another rifle right now.
Caldwell makes a cover that is similar to the solo hunter style. It has worked really well for me and fits both my 26 nosler and 300 win mag that both have 26" barrels.

I get that. I have both. I personally prefer detachable mags, but again that is me. Come to think of it, my rifles for my 2 boys are both non detachable mags. So maybe that is why I haven't had any issues with them using them.
