I am looking at picking up a tripod and universal adapter for my binoculars. The plan is to eventually trade my pair in (no way to mount this $200 pair of old Nikon actions) for some vortex vipers. Anyone have a recommendation on and adapter and tripod?
No need to tell me the unit! I will do some research! I have been looking at the big horns due to it only being a six hour drive. I could scout it the summer I draw.
Thanks! I will have to come up with something different in the mean time. It’s a nice frame (a little heavy) but the bag is garbage! Maybe I can sow something up!
Thanks for looking into it! Yeah, I thought it was a good question too, I don’t like what that thread devolved into, but it happens. I think a lot of guys want to scare off the nonresident hunter, I tend to try to invite them. If you ever have any question on ND badlands hunts, feel free to...
Question for you rokslide, how do the larger kifaru bags attach to the duplex frame? I have a cabelas Alaskan guide frame with a terrible bag and thought if I could update the bag one year and later update the frame it wouldn’t make me feel the cost as much. Has anyone tried doing something similar?
Thanks for offering some guidance I appreciate it! I was looking at the bighorns and medicine bow for archery. I am slightly concerned that they would all be in the wilderness and I don’t plan on getting a guide. I haven’t checked the draw odds yet, but would shoot any elk. I planned on trying...
Are there any otc or 1 to 2 point units where a guy doesn’t have to worry about grizzlies? Debating on getting a point before the deadline, but have only researched hunting Colorado.
Yeah, I have heard that. I just want some pretty country where I can reasonably see an elk in 7 days. I have little experience backpacking, but plan on practicing next year before committing to an elk hunt.
Yeah, I am looking to get something I can use with cots at base camp and in the future take backpacking with sleeping pads. My thought was if I could fit a stove and two cots I could use it this year while I finish getting backpacking supplies (like a sleeping pad) for next year.
Apparently I have a thing for units with a 3 in them. I have been looking to start elk hunting in Colorado in 2019/2020. I am currently looking at gnu 34, 43, and 53 for archery elk and have spent a ton of time reading forums and scouring google earth for things that seem “elky”. My preference...
I have the standard Cabela’s cots, which are pretty night. I am trying to build up my backpacking equipment over the next two years but thought if I could get an option that would work for my standard car camping/backpacking it would make more sense.
