Just bought a Ruger ranch gen 2 with 16in barrel in 6.5 creed. I am getting 2449 from factory 143gr ELDX. Gun is cheap and accurate. And light. -

Agreed on the .5 MOA, I haven’t even cleaned it yet and only 10 shots thru it. I will post an update when I shoot it cold bore at 100yds. I think I can tighten the groups. What caliber are you waiting for? -

I am going to disagree with you. Shooting an elk at 500 yards with a sub magnum caliber isn’t hunting, it’s irresponsible. Too many risks to the animal and inhumane injuries. IMO if you can’t get closer than 500 yards to an elk you aren’t very good at hunting. My opinions are free and worth... -
Textured paint recommendations
The rubbery grip spray is EXPENSIVE. I would worry about it on moving parts too. I paint all my hunting guns because I hunt in the desert and the sun glare is real. I just did this to my latest AR. everyone says make sure you use flat paint, but the reality is if you put the flat clear coat on...- AZsniper
