Just use MesoWest and toggle to find a NWS or RAWS close to you. Will more than likely be more accurate than any janky station you can get off amazon. You can click on individual stations and see all the outputs.

"Good thing" would depend on who you ask. I lived/worked in a very rural area pre-plandemic. It was pleasant, quiet and very enjoyable. Because of seemingly EVERYONE's ability to work remote, all of our "public land owners" have decided they need to be here also.
Flooded timber absolutely wrecked all other waterfowling for me. Prior to it, I saw thousands of birds die in cornfields throughout the Midwest and Canada. I got the timber bug and leaned against my first tree about 15yrs ago. You couldn’t pay me anymore to lay in a cornfield and turn on...
Looks like I’m the only one to use meopta so far. The one time I had an issue they went above and beyond. Was my first time so was a little skeptical, but after that I’d buy meopta with confidence they’ll stand behind it…
are they represented by a union? This is actually progressing faster than most states if it’s only been that long. Not uncommon for HR and employer to leave them in the dark…. Not saying it’s right but it is “normal”. Odds are after interviews, investigator will have an objective write up if...
Not much help, other than this happened to a very close friend of mine in an almost identical situation. I was with him at our other buddy’s (FFL) place when he did the 4473 and it got called in. Has a very common name like “ John Johnson”. He followed the federal process through to have his...
^^^ I get the "don't be so fast to judge" idea but my problem is I've been through enough of these in the hunting world and in wildland (think white's being bought by lacrosse) to make a general assessment based on past experience. A large percentage of these result in a negative overall...
To be fair I’m not really hating on anyone. I expected DG to retire a while ago, and yeti… despite the “cheeseballness” of their image makes an acceptably good cooler that is competitively priced with other rotos. I also don’t really care what happens to MR hunting and edc packs. I say that as a...
I’m far more concerned with a company seemingly as narcissistic as yeti trying to make fire packs than their hunting or EDC packs. I don’t see this as a win for R&D of MR packs in general but fear the most for the fire line.
They probably didn’t. I’ve seen some stores exclusively carry flats only. I don’t know if it’s a pastrami thing or why anyone would just want the flat but regardless some places that’s all you can get. Re aftermarket I just meant a probe separate from the grill, sounds like you have it covered...
FWIW it looks like you didn't trim your brisket flat down at all,, so if you were shooting for 205 in the point you probably roasted out the flat a little? edit: nevermind it looks like you bought the flat only, no point. Not uncommon to find them seperated out but if you can find a whole packer...
Guilty of Treeson has a decent video of the major “pro” battery saws. I’ll pretty much mirror his assertions. Husky, Milwaukee, Stihl in that order. I have a stihl 220 top handle now that I hate with a passion. The ap 300 or 500 battery doesn’t seem to matter, both have about the same run time...
dont screw around then, get the 640 (or blazn's equivalent largest size). You'll seldom wish you had a smaller cooker but often wish it was bigger.
I would also add pitts & spitts to your list of considerables.
In most Midwest states that have the “leave the head attached to one of the quarter” rules. That typically only applies to quartering prior to registering. If you have cell service and the animal is in your possession you can register and then quarter normal, generally speaking
