Hi - could tell me what optics you've tried on your M2 slug gun, I don't like the huge front vertical white line/sight, blocks too much target. I've got a Holoson HS510C reflex red dot coming to try and might get the Holoson 3x magnifier to go w/it. I know you're not supposed to add too much scope weight or the inertia recoil won't work correctly. Thanks in advance for any advice.

Currently running a Nikon Slug Hunter 1.65 - 5 x 36 with BDC reticle. Do not be scared to add weight to benneli M2's when shooting high recoil stuff like slugs or Turkey loads. Plenty of recoil to operate the inertia drive. I've even got a 4 shot mag extension on it to add weight. A low magnififation 1.65 power to 5 power scope is so sweet.

Did you need the raised comb w/scope? Wondering if I will w/the Holoson. Tried the Rem Expander 3" and Hornady SST 2-3/4", likes Rems a little better but kicks more. Just missed restocked Fed Trophy Copper 2-3/4" from midwayusa.com today before they sold out to try also, ugh. Like to try those and Expander 2-3/4" if I can ever find them.

Didnt need raised comb. Tried the 23/4 and 3" rem expanders, they shot well. The federal trophy coppers shot even better than the Remingtons . I'd get a flyer once in a while with the Remingtons. Hornady was the best combo of speed and consistant accuracy. I did heart shoot a buck at 250 yards with federal copper barnes expanders but they quit making those slugs.
