Do you hunt to fill the freezer?

You can always take a season off to help others fill tags, if I have too much meat that’s what I would do. Also donate meat to less fortunate

I think you have to expect it to happen and stay away from any trails/roads etc. why would you waste time next to the road?

Final Gear List Review for 4th rifle Elk in Colorado

Most of the gear seems very over kill for day hunting- extra batteries, bug spray in the winter, most of the extra clothes. I think you need way more water as well as a water filtering device to get more water if needed. If you eat good at camp and ensure you can make it back at a reasonable...
