    Kodiak canvas lodge tent

Thank you! I'm guessing the 12X12 is a bit tight then? I'll consider the next size up then because there's nothing worse than being up each other's butt in camp and trying to change clothes, sleep, eat etc! Thank you for telling me about your experience.

Which brand isobutane fuel are you using for your stoves?

Whats on sale or the cheapest. I have used a couple with my Windmaster and have had no issues at all. Cold or warm weather, they all seem to work just fine.

    Kodiak canvas lodge tent

Glad to see this post! I've been watching every darn video I can on the Kodiak Canvas tent to get enough feedback to buy or not. Looks good, reasonably priced, seems quite solid in wind and rain storms, has a hot stove with a jack through the top which is what we need for our deer hunting in Nov...

When do WT antlers drop in your area?

Usually later January here in Jersey into February but have seen some hold on until early March! All the bucks here by my house are still carrying a full rack

What sitka layering system would you buy? (Yukon moose)

Congrats on the weight loss and I feel ya! I lost 39lbs since last summer and my hunting clothes are a little big on me now. I've been running Skre Gear base layers for a couple seasons now and love them. I believe they're a bit less expensive than Sitka. Some of the high end hunting clothing...

Starting TAC shooting this 2024 year...tips and advice!

Mountain Ops hat???? Why? LOL I'm wearing whatever baseball cap I grab and probably a T-shirt of some sort. Smediums don't fit me but thanks for believing I have a nice slim build!!! :) Mountain boots, a sturdy pair of hunting pants and I'm golden!!

    Merino Wool?

SH... I only use Skre now. Starting my third season with it. It's warm, comfortable and free moving when you move - non restricting. The merino base layers are very warm so if you're moving more than sitting, you're going to have to adjust your layering. Here in the northeast, it gets cold and...

    Merino Wool?

I've been using Skre for 2 years now and love the stuff! The merino base layers are very good IMHO and having hunted and winter camped wearing them, I'll say this: Comfortable, light weight, very warm and holds up to washing well. I use the cold water setting on the machine and a scent free...

Starting TAC shooting this 2024 year...tips and advice!

I sincerely thank all of you for your replies! Although I posted this a while back, I've since picked a few guy's brains I ran into here in Jersey that have shot one or more TAC events and they gave me their opinions/advice and 99% of it coincides with everything you guys have offered me...

If you were just starting out what pack would you buy?

Daypack/tree stand pack and a multi day pack all in one? Kinda two different requirements. I use a Sitka 2700 for most all day packing and 2 day trips, a Mystery Ranch Beartooth 80 for 4-5 day trips and a 750Cu in waist pack with a chest harness for tree stands whether bow or gun hunting on...

    Southeast PA hunters

Not sure if you guys have anyone from Jersey joining you but I'm always looking for local, like minded guys to hunt with and other outdoor adventures to participate in. Besides bow and rifle hunting, I'm an avid fly fisherman and camping/hiking guy. I'm in northern NJ and can be in your areas...

Starting TAC shooting this 2024 year...tips and advice!

Good morning folks... I'm stepping out into using my semi-retired time to enjoy more outdoor activities. One of those choices is to start participating in TAC shoots near my northeast location. I'm aware of two... PICO at Killington, VT and Seven Springs in PA. Both are withing driving...
