No. But did get a few packs of meat from a buddy that shot one that was going to a garbage dumpster and the meat was rancid. Rancid has a distinct smell and taste. I noticed it right away when cooking it. Would not even feed it to the dog
By choice dorsal cut it and sleeve the legs. Just cut from the hoof to the knee on the back side. Dorsal even if taking the whole hide. But for half you can cut it off just in front of rear legs. ALWAYS leave more then you think.
It's really pretty easy doing even a full body skin dorsal...

I guess i never posted in this thread that i did kill a couple oscellated. Going in i thought it might be a strange hunt and maybe one to just get them all. But it was a great time. Called birds in 3 of 4 sits. Would do it again for sure
