Best thing I ever did was ditch ALL stabilizers. Less to pack/carry and if the bow is balanced and fits you....there's no need. I see no added noise.....just less weight.
I've shot both Iron Will and Cutthroat. Both in the 200gn variants. My experience with Cutthroat is on whitetail. Clean kills and on one doe I did see a bit of edge chatter. This was through the top of the shoulder and out the other shoulder. The Iron Will I have taken 4 white tail, cow...
Finishing packing up today. Will load the truck tomorrow evening. I'm heading from Warner Robins GA to Abilene TX to meet up with my buddy and Wed morning we are heading to northern NM for first season archery which starts on the 1st.
I take a spare bow that is setup to shoot same arrows etc. This year I'm hunting with a buddy that has one bow...probably doesn't even have a spare release or arrows..LOL The receiver hitch bow press attachment sounds intriguing. The EZ green doesn't take up a huge amount of space...
Thanks for the effort to post this. I'm going to dismantle mine tomorrow and do the foam work. I also got the thing on sale for basically half price....I'll make it work...LOL
I've never drawn 2nd or 3rd. Of course when I was stationed there back in the mid 90s we were pretty much guaranteed to draw first choice archery in the unit we were applying for as residents. Have drawn first choice last year and this year. Of course we choose the same unit it's just our...
Limb driven for me. Started off years ago with a cable driven rest that was tied into the cable. It worked well until some twists needed to be added for cable stretch. Then there's the whole resetup if you get new cables/strings. I've been doing Vapor Trail for many years without issue...
I guess i'll break away from the crowd on this one. My favorite is a 2010 vintage Darton Pro 3800. Liked it so much I have 2 of them. Taken countless animals with the 3800. I just got a Prelude 32 and haven't even shot it yet. Waiting for Vapor Trail Intergrate rest to get here to set it...
I used the Marsupial fully enclosed last year for archery elk. Small size with 10x42 Vortex bino's. Worked well. It did not affect drawing of the bow or shot (as I thought it would) I continued using it throughout the fall for whitetail in KY and GA. I'll be using it next year.
Hey folks,
Curious if anyone has been or going to be in 52 in the next few days. Interested in the road situation out there. We plan on arriving on the 30th for the first archery season. Looked like the rain was going to stop....but now it's forecasting more rain through the week. Mainly...
