    Another good place to start is looking at the Elk state reviews from each of the major hunting pubs and member services. Eastmans MRS section on WY elk should be coming out soon for 2022 if it isnt already out. Elk are doing well statewide in WY compared to deer and antelope so that's a plus

    All depends on your foot shape, arch etc. A good shop should be able to fit you and make recommendations. I run Kennetrek pack boots for late season but you can't get me out of my Crispi guide's for more steep hiking. The fit out of the box is incredible and they're known for that

    with some of the mods suggested a Glock 10mm is a fine side arm choice and has really picked up popularity with many outfitters and guides over the past decade. There's no substitute for being proficient with whatever your method of choice is- pistol, spray, both etc
