Looking to pick up a tikka t3x lite in 6.5 creedmoor. The 6.5 is set in stone, but talk me out of the tikka and into another gun. I want something fairly light ideally under 7#s. Will mainly be fire target shooting, out to 1000 yards, but that will be infrequent. Will occasionally hunt whitetail...
My 365X sits in the safe so its getting traded for a 19 for the winter months. My main carry gun is not a canik MC9, its more pleasant to shoot than the sig and almost the same size. Best stock trigger on a cheaper gun. Its been as relaible as the sig so far too.
I loaded up some 130 TMK, 130 controlled chaos, and 120 ttsx for me and some buddies to try for upstate NY whitetails this season. The 120 ttsx had a complete broadside pass through, thought the upper heart and lungs and left a decent blood trail. The 130 CC as I expected didn’t pass through...
You getting a full passthrough with the Berger? 123 ELDM, 130 TMK, and 130 CChaos all kill quick but no full passthrough on whitetail, the 120TTSX is the only bullet from the Grendel that I've found to completely pass through.
Go with the shockwave. Clarity should be better because its newer, and the tx1000 remote is the best remote out there, the hammerjack does not use the tx1000 I believe.
Hawk has some with actual seats, and I believe they have an angle adjustment too. I really like my helium XL, perfect for trees with slight angles and the seat is comfortable for all day sits.
I dont recommend Sig. Once it gets to around 30 degrees and lower it only works when it wants to, and I've only tried it down to 15 or so. I have zero faith in it, my buddies vortex display is much better and seems like a much better unit in general.
Almost all of my noncell cams are brownings, they all have worked without flaw minus a filter that gets stuck occasionally. Cells cams I prefer spartan but the reveals arent bad for a cheap cam either.
Problem is not the states that have banned the Nitrofire, but the ones that will do so in the near future. Our state is a dumpster fire and it wouldn't surprise me if they ban it in the future. While it is definitely easier to use than a regular muzzleloader, using pelletized powder is super...
I haven't had them long and have not had any issues with them, and they appear to be accurate. It's just like comparing a Porsche to VW, the mitutoyo are much nicer is all.
