    Was at 10k last year and a hail and lightening storm cam through. During middle of the day but I can honestly say, I have never really feared for my life until that moment.. It was very loud and I would swear it struck a rocky peak about 300 yards from us.

    I got turned on to floorless shelters here and just wish I knew about them sooner. The only problem is that, they are not very useful out this way... At least I don't think so. There is too much moisture in the ground.
