NM Unit 34 Elk tag Muzzleloader/ Rifle Tag
Had a late tag come available due to a guy not paying. 5500$. These tags were going for 6500-7200 this year. Awesome unit with great bulls. Muzzle hunt is Oct 14-18 and the rifle is the week. The Muzzleloader hunt will get the end if the rut. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -

Favorite Early Season Archery Tactic? Spot and Stock, Cow Call, Bugle, etc. . .
When you do call be sure you are in place or in an ideal set up. I have called before without thinking and a bull be within 100 yards. And there I am looking like an idiot. Elk are starting to Talk!
Yep they will bugle year around. One July night I was sitting around a camp fire in NM and the elk went crazy!! This lasted for about 10 minutes and they never bugled again. It was a cool crisp night and I was really wishing it was September. -

Is it just when you are shooting or all the time? If it is happening all the time then it is something like too much caffeine or something of that nature. If it only happens when you are shooting your bow then it is some type of target panic. I'm a firm believer of shooting with your eyes closed... -

I did sir and drew the tag!! Don't worry when you draw you will be shocked but you will figure out what to do with the tag. :) -

They really lose that winter coat in July I'm guessing. They were a little shaggy on this trip. But every pic I see after July they look awesome!! -

I really hope to get this done with my bow. Any one else can feel free to help me judging these two Rams. I go back in late July for anther scouting trip so maybe I can have more pics to judge. My grandparents have a place in NM Unit 34 (Cloudcroft NM) so I get to enjoy that awesome country...
