Sorry to revive this old thread, but I'm pretty sure if you didn't secure one of the 2024 Non-resident OTC tags when they went on sale (and sold out) in early November, then you aren't going to be able to hunt AZ in January.
Someone please correct me if I'm wrong...
I like the OnX tracker, but man it burns battery (at least on my phone). I use my InReach (66i) for tracking and it lasts a lot longer. The only downside is not having some of my marked spots and track on the same map.
I'd take the bet that my party (me and 1 buddy) would kill an elk this year. We have archery tags, but if we didn't kill I'd go back on OTC rifle to get it done. (y)
Edit: I should say the statistics are against me. I have had 2 CO elk tags so far and have killed 2 elk (1 rifle, 1 archery).
Timely post... I was just getting on here to ask the same question. I'm breaking in a pair of Schnee's Timberlines and love them, except that I get some hot spots on the balls of my feet. I am looking for more forward foot support as well, so I'll be watching this thread...
Does anyone know if they publish another draw recap after the secondary draw? I'd like to see how many of the tags for my hunt this year were still not claimed (if any).
Edit: Nevermind, I found it:
"Any licenses remaining after the secondary draw (except for Ranching for Wildlife licenses)...
