I just spent a week in 62 deer hunting 3rd season. I saw 3 elk in a week and all the elk hunters I talked to were struggling. There was very little snow when we arrived and virtually none when we left last Friday. Between lack of snow, a bright full moon, and warm sunny days hunting was tough...
I drove 7.5 hrs after work to hunt the last day of archery season on a tag I drew in 2016 after having already spent a week in the unit 10 days prior. Got on a bull at early that ended up busting me after the wind switched. Climbed out of the drainage I had chased that bull into and sat on the...
Can't help you out with score but those look like pretty good bulls for ND. As a resident of northern ND I'm pretty jealous of the tag. Good luck.

I second the Chill SDX. Really smooth draw and solid backwall. My girlfriend shoots one and really likes it. Her previous bow was a Razors Edge and IMO the Chill SDX is a far and away a better bow.

The woman and I had this happen in 16. I drew Wyoming archery then she drew AZ early archery a few weeks later. With only 2 weeks vacation and living in ND it was tough to pull off but we had successful hunts in both states.
Looks like her card got hit again last night for another early archery...
This is correct. Non residents have to apply for the archery tag by sometime in March (unsure of exact date). I don't think there is any OTC mule deer options after the deadline.

I live and work in the northwestern ND oil field. It's not booming like it was a few years ago but there are very good paying jobs still available up here. If you were to work for a drilling and completion company you could live further west and just stay up here during your hitch. Downfall of...
The dead animal kind. Lol. I have yet to run it through my chrono or really stretch it legs. She has shot a bear and a nice Muley buck with it and I shot a small bull elk and good buck with it. I took it on the elk and muley hunt since it was lighter than any of the guns I had at the time. All...
Oh man, that sucks. I just tied a piece of Paracord around the tether bosses and then just put it over my head. Basically ends up being just like a neck strap just much lighter. It has saved my bacon several times after I've bent over to pick something up without having the lid to my harness...
Can't speak for the other ladies specific rifles but my gf loves her Savage Lady hunter in 7mm-08. Will shoot right at an inch with Nosler Accubonds.

I have done it a couple times. It has always turned out really good. We've always put a little dry rub on it and let it sit for a couple hours. Just before putting it on the smoker we cut some slits in the meat several inches deep and put cream cheese and jalapenos into the slits then used...
