I was really impressed with the V327, and my draw length is 26." With the same arrows, the TX5 was slightly faster, but the 5" brace height could make it a bit squirrely on an off day. The V2 27 has a brace height of 6." I also have a Prima on the way, but I stick to 60lbs draw weight, versus...
This is a "redemption" year for me. I was knocked out of work back in '18 with an then undiagnosed chronic GI condition from type 1 diabetes. I've bee trying to claw my way back until this past Christmas, an injury caused a reflate, and six months of progressive medical mess
That GI condition...
Oh the kings I didn't expect to learn about on a hunting forum, lol. In all seriousness I'll probably end up Googling most of these mentioned products...
I just visited one of my favorite shops, and the owner said they were selling tons of Mathews Primas to men. It's been very popular and a great fit, despite being a "woman's" bow. Absolutely worth a shot. No pun intended lol.
I have a pair of the high end models from LL Bean and they've worked really well so far for my "practice" rocking in fairly rough terrain. Long term durability is still TBD but the telescoping design is secure when extended, solid when underway, and is easy to store in a vehicle or closet at...
Has anyone in MA ever come across a good reference for local browse species? All I could find were some vague references about WMA properties and a few .mentions of local trees, but that's about it. I'd even be thrilled if one can suggest a great field guide!
I totally second this. Try a bunch and see what feels best for you.
I loved the Mathews TX 5, but it's no longer made. You should be able to pick one up on this site's best, or many others out there. Only downside is you may find it a tad heavy. If you don't like short ATA bows itay not work...
Thank you for the reply! It certainly gives me a general idea!
The Trx 34 has a bra e height that's 1/2 longer than that of the V3 27, but I know that doesn't account for the likely different geometry.
I know the best route is to get measured, BUT I'm coming off of a major bowel surgery and...
Crap... forgot to mention: it's the V3 27 that I'm acquiring. I'm kind of a smurf at 5'5 and this will be explicitly for treestand/saddle and ground blind use

Hi guys and gals, first post here. I love the site!
I'm hoping one of you archery addicts has either shot or actually owns both the Mathews V3 and Trx 34. My V3 is coming with a draw length of 26 inches. Is the Trx34 longer or shorter in DL, and if so, by how much? I'll be using the same...
