    DIY RokStok in maple

Iv read quite a bit that poured pillars are just as good. As long as theirs no air pockets, I wouldn’t hesitate if I was keeping it on the budget side. On that note, score high’s adjustable pillars are gems to use.

    Purchasing a pre-owned goretex jacket

Iv bought a few Sitka rain shells/pants, all in good or new w/o tags condition. I tore the zipper off my cloudburst pant I bought used, Sitka sent me a new pair (actually 2) free of charge.

    Masculinity and Caliber Choice

Can’t say Iv ever witnessed it personally in taking an animal. But, I guess it does somewhere.

    Masculinity and Caliber Choice

I often wonder…. When did “room for error” come into the equation? Can’t Say it’s ever been part of what I was taught or teach.

    Masculinity and Caliber Choice

I think this is the only place Iv seen the whole big vs small debate. Anywhere else (Canadian here), seems people just run what they got and nobody bats an eye over it.

    Scope Choice for rifle

I’m still trying to figure out, when did people start dropping their rifles so much that optics have become an issue? Never dropped a rifle, never had a scope issue, surprise surprise.

    .280 AI Powders

I’m just doing some load stuff for a friends .280ai and R23. I tried 143gr hammers but didn’t get anything to exciting (only used R23). The rifle does seem to like the 145gr LRX’s though. I made a couple groups of 3 at the 58gr mark, .030” off and .050” off, 24” 1-8 twist barrel. The ladder...

Talk me out of, or into a canoe

I love my canoe, couldn’t imagine not owning one. Something I do find though is a sore back if I’m in it to long, but could be due to the 30 year old seats in it lol. I always assumed a kayak would be worse for comfort, but Iv never sat in one to know for sure. Our district is called “the...

My mountain rifle is getting walnut…

Unfortunately Iv been so busy, I haven’t had any time to dive into checkering this stock yet, if I end up keeping this rifle, I think I will send it off for checkering before sheep season. There is a fellow here in Canada who just started building a titanium CRF action and is building light...

My mountain rifle is getting walnut…

You’ve done a fine job right here!! What would this rifle be?? I can’t say I recognize it. I really like the colour and finish you got there on that stock, and the sling adapter, looks very tidy and neat too!! I did a mess up on my stock here in my learning process. I drilled the hole...
