This will be our first time archery hunting since my buddy and I stumbled around the woods back when we were in college. We would have been better off carrying 4 small game heads and one broadhead, just in case. 😂
For those hunting OTC Colorado, make sure you've got the right privileges to...
I don't know how much traction they've received on this, but the guys at Elk Bros have launched the hunting equivalent of a dating app for finding hunting partners. Might be worth checking out.

Possible that there will be some green up if it's a low intensity fire. But... Bigger question will be whether or not access is allowed back into the area. If it's National Forest or other public, expect an extended closure until at least next year in my experience. Fingers crossed for you.
And I've never had an issue with keeping my pack and weapon of choice inside the vestibule area. My stabilizer sticks out a bit in my new shelter but... It's a stabilizer. I am using my 6 Moon Designs Gatewood Cape this year but have used a Tarptent Moment the last few seasons.

Nothing wrong unless it shoots like crap...
I get what you're saying though about availability. OP seems kinda new to muzzleloading. At minimum, be willing to tinker with the powder charge (mentions 100gr specifically). A few grains up or down can make a difference as you're well aware.
Just 19? Will be lots of fresh burn from the Cameron Peak Fire. Don't live there anymore so don't know how intense it was, but you should be able to find the intensity maps.
