Born and raised in Arizona, spent a lot of years working out of state but also spent 12 of my 34 professional working years in Arizona after graduating from Arizona State University. Moved back right before retiring in 2010 and lived in Yuma until this last year. I'm living in my 5th wheel toy...
I drew an archery elk tag, first elk draw since 2017, now comes the wait to see if it's bull or cow. Doesn't really mater which one as long as I'm out there hunting elk I'm happy!

Put the bow on a draw board and see what pounds it's pulling at each of those draw lengths. Most estimates say 3# per inch but bows vary a lot.

Hip waders with what we called Bama socks. Wore that combo all over Kodiak when I worked there. You need to get a larger size for the hip boots to use the Bama socks as they are pretty thick.

Herters recurve, 56", 50# stacks like crazy at 28", bought it mail order when I was a sophomore in high school in 1968. Haven't shot it in many years.

I have a Remington mod 660, 6.5mm rem mag that I bought when I was in high school in 1968, a sleeping bag that I bought for work in 1990, and a pair of swaro 10x42 ELs that I bought in 2000. Yeah I'm well seasoned!

I never shoot or hunt with a quiver on my bow. I have used a hip quiver for over 30 years. The only problem is that the good ones with the lengthwise and crossways stiffeners in them are pretty heavy. I won't be changing as they work well.

I have a 1949 model in .270 I might part with. I have not shot it in 23 years. I can get some pics tomorrow if you want. Let me know.

Mine would be a 1952 Chevy pickup with a stroked LS 6.0, injected, with a Magnuson tvs2300 supercharger sitting between the heads! I love acceleration!

When NM Game and Fish were releasing the first oryx on White Sands one of the releasees came around in front of the tow pickup and proceeded to impale the radiator and air conditioner condenser. That was expensive!

From Tempe Arizona and after working all over the west I'm retired in Arizona. Fun fact, in the early 1980's when I was elk hunting western NM I was still hunting up a ridge when I bumped into Fred Bear who was still hunting down the same ridge. Cool encounter.
