The problem solving/putting the puzzle together part. Plan A didn’t work, analyzing why and getting plan b, c or d to work.
I’ve also had success in some very pressured areas and took a lot of satisfaction from “beating” the competition

Sigh, that’s what I’m worried about. I guess I will keep buying a new pair of quests every year. They hunt for the first year, get daily wear in year 2 and spend year 3 doing yard work. Then they are pretty much done and go in the garbage

So I’ve been wearing Solomons of various models for maybe 12 years. Back when I started buying them they were awesome. Lately, they just don’t hold up I’ve gotten less than 1/2 the life out of my last few pairs as I got out of the first.
I quit wearing quests at work and went to Lowa Zephyrs...
I question your judgement because it counters 17 years of experience in investigating people being victimized by crime. Your fight isn’t gonna be the way you imagine. There will be no warning or notice. There is not likely to be a “well it’s getting hot, better chamber a round moment.” People...
Appendix generally gives you the most control over your gun. It’s in front of you, within reach of both hands, and you likely have experience going through life without randomly brushing your junk on things. My kids are 10 and 6 and I’ve appendix carried their whole lives without an issue...
Does this count as concealed?
I kid, I kid…. Comped G45/x300u/SRO in winter G17/RMR chopped for 19 mags in summer. I had to professionally carry a full sized gun concealed for a few years and got comfortable enough with it I don’t mess with compacts.

It has happened to me twice in two different state’s where someone I didn’t know saw me coming out with a load and stopped to congratulate me and give me a Busch Light…. So I have to believe Busch is god’s choice

I’m a sloppy, disorganized, not detail oriented person who was just up the scale enough to not be diagnosed officially with ADD… if I can do it, not blow up and get single digit SDs, anyone can.

Why though? Say a barrel lasts 3k if you can save $.15 to $.25 over that round count that’s a $450-$750 savings and you basically paid for your rebarrel.
As long as your practice ammo groups small enough that you can tell misses are you and not the rifle/load, there really isn’t any benefit to...
My wife wants to start hunting this year. She has zero long gun experience. She is going to be shooting a 6.5 creed and I reload. Looking for a reasonably accurate but cheaper projo for practice inside 500yds, mostly inside 300. Don’t care really ballistics/wind wise being too similar to...
If I were just starting, I would spend most of my money on any tags for any animals I can get ahold of. I would use those to get time in the woods and THEN buy things as I IDed a need for them.
The reason I say that is different people find they like to hunt differently and so their gear...
Hell no. I carried a braked 6.5 creed AI AT (17ish lbs with scope and bipod). I’m the mountains the last few years.
I’ve killed every animal with a .270, .308 or 6.5 and never felt a need for anything bigger…I take that back, I killed a couple deer with suppressed 5.56 lol
