I was lucky to draw an archery mule deer tag in Idaho. I did some scouting in late July and found some very impressive bucks, they are in a great area, no roads and trails. Lots of cover, feed, and water. I am fairly new to hunting mule deer in August. I only have two days to hunt in August...
So I am strongly considering the NEMO Apollo floorless tent to shave off two pounds in my upcoming backcountry Hunt. I do have some reservations...mainly if it rains. What does everyone do to prevent rain from getting in your tent? Thanks in advance!

I was lucky enough to draw the tag. I have a scout plan for elk already. I was hoping to run the areas I’ve focused on by someone who has hunted mullies out here. Send me a PM and we can chat.
I’m doing well on the Keto diet and have overall felt way better than before. Has anyone been on this diet and followed it while hunting the backcountry? If so how did you come about with your food plan? Any good recipes you would recommend?
So I’m in the market for a good mid weight merino top to go over my FL base. This will be used primarily for early season elk in the wilderness. Has anyone got their hands on either the apex or kiln yet? Thanks!
