The seams have not been sealed. As far as the netting goes, yes I believe you could repair the netting yourself. The best would be to completely sew in new pieces on the upper portion of both ends as there are little holes all over. The other areas could be patched witch some gear aid/tent repair type tape possibly. I have mesh netting that I purchased for a project to do the repair just have not done it yet. The original mesh is insanely lightweight. A little to lightweight I think as it is not very durable. Anyway, let me know if you have any other questions! Thanks, Jamie
