Where are my anti-debt/credit card people at?

One thing rarely mentioned in these arguments is that Dave Ramsey’s advice is for people who are fundamentally BAD with money. It doesn’t necessarily mean it’s the right program for a normal person with self control. You could say the same thing regarding alcoholics, or those who struggle with...

    Third Vehicle?

I really enjoy having a nice, comfortable SUV and a bare bones regular cab work truck. Both get used very hard, for different purposes. I do all the mechanic work on mine and the wife’s vehicles, it’s really nice for her to have a car, me to work on one, and still have a ride in the event that...

When do you switch from Spray to Gun ??

I agree with just not carrying spray. In the event that I was somewhere I couldn’t carry a gun (unlikely but possible), I might pick up some spray. If you feel compelled to carry both, I’d consider the spray as a deterrent to a bear that is clearly agitated but not charging, meaning you’re...

    FL muzzleloader laws

Please post up what you find. FL is pretty lax when it comes to muzzleloader regulations, I think just about anything goes, they say it has to be .30 or larger and now you can load propellant from the breech. Most people shoot pellets and sabots here I believe.

    Breakfast in the backcountry

I can’t eat right when I wake up, but I make a quick cup of coffee while getting dressed to knock the fog off. Benefit of a titanium mug is you can drink it immediately. I usually throw a Clif bar in my front pocket (blueberry is a breakfast favorite), and it’s a nice warm treat when I make it...

    Horizontal stringing issue

Thanks for the feedback guys, I need to go shoot it one more time with a cool barrel, but I believe the major issue was me not holding the forend down on the bench. Rifle is free floated with a glass bedded recoil lug, trigger is 2 1/4 lbs and breaks clean, and I don’t believe I have any issues...

    Camping with contact lenses

Just wait until you get into situations where a branch knocks it out of your eye and onto the ground, and you put it in your mouth to get the grit off and straight back into your eye. When hunting my hands get dirt, blood, etc ground into them. I generally rinse my fingers with saline and...

    Horizontal stringing issue

Update: I finally made it back out to the range today, and it would appear that at least part of the issue was in fact me, though i learned something new. I do not have issues with flinching or holding the gun steady, but apparently lightweight rifles with heavy loads have to be held still when...

    Let’s see those gear rooms!

Here’s mine, we only have 8’ ceilings so it took a lot of time laying things out to make the most use of space. I have a shelf just tall enough for my bow case, one just tall enough for my climbing stand, one for fly rod tubes and arrows, etc. I still need to build doors for it so things will be...

    Company trucks/ logo'd trucks

When you get to Alabama tell 2-3 people you meet about your company and hand them a card ;). You had a work meeting, good to go from the IRSS… I own a small business and have a couple company trucks that aren’t considered perks of the job/benefits (Meaning they aren’t 2021 F-250’s). My concern...

    Map printing service?

I’ve had FedEx/Kinkos print out my OnX areas, double sided on waterproof paper. It is a little noisy but you can fold it up and fit it in a hip pocket.

    Horizontal stringing issue

That is probably the backup plan but it’s over a pound heavier. Hoping this .30-06 will shoot the 150’s similar to that if I can’t get it to like the 180’s.
