Hi mate, the Blaser scope is brilliant and is easily on a par with the couple of Swarovski Z6i's that I have. This scope is part of a sponsorship package in relation to my work as a Deer Officer for the British Deer Society. The Blaser/Sauer/Minox/Mauser group are all linked in the UK.
I've had no problems whatsoever. To be fair I've only ever fired the first round and loaded another, never racked through a whole mag. I do tend to load one round into the chamber first then put the full mag in.
A couple of weeks ago I completed the 78 mile, 3 day mountain ultra on Knoydart on the west coast of Scotland. Just over 26 hours in total. Came 35th out of 64. Pretty happy with that for an out of shape 49 year old from the flat lands of Norfolk, England with minimal training!
If I lost my Fenix 5+ Sapphire I would be in a similar position to you. I love this watch and would either buy exactly the same again or look at whatever Fenix 6 had similar spec.
Cross train with swimming, cycling, rowing etc. Work on core strength without going silly in the gym. Find a nutrition system that works for you and, finally, take your longest training run to 22 miles; many plans stop at 20 and an extra 6 miles on top of that is a long way!
I took a good friend out yesterday evening to try for a roebuck in North Norfolk, England. The rut is on at the moment for this species so the chances of seeing deer moving or being able to call them was good despite the continuous and at times heavy rain. We have six species of deer in the UK...
Had a look out yesterday during the roe rut here in England. Took the camera and rifle. I shot a muntjac buck just to keep up on the cull but I am more pleased with the photos and video footage that I got. Here is a yearling roebuck.
I had a Transverse Alpha for a couple of years and really liked it. The watch was great but the Suunto software was disappointing. The Movescount app was hopeless. I finally gave up on it, went over to Garmin and never looked back. I have a Fenix 5+ Sapphire now and couldn't be more happy with...
Years ago when I spent a summer as a packer for an Outfitter in the NWT I was at the main camp for a brief period between hunters. The Outfitter asked me to take the five wheeled John Deere buggy and get firewood. His daughter who was probably about eleven decided to go with me. We went up the...
It's a Sauer 404 in .308 Win with a Blaser scope. On that ground I have to use non-lead ammo so I was using Sellior and Bellot 110grn copper. The rifle and scope is kindly loaned to my employer by Blaser UK as a training rifle and I am very impressed with it.
