    Sitka vs. First Lite for Whitetails?

    I ordered some FL furnace base layers and the cut/fit of them was all wrong for me. Really wanted those thick base layers for cold sits but there's no way they'd work. The small Henley looked like a dress and the medium pants fit circumference wise but were way too long. I'm 5'7" 165lbs...

    Pretty cool encounter with a mature deer last night. He had me locked up until he walked straight away. No shot opportunity but awesome he didn't go blowing out.

    About 3 years for my first whitetail. Roughly 1 every few years after that until I started urban hunting.

    The 7x7 was pretty thin but all of the 6x6s were thick with the nice dark coloring and white tips.

    I saw 3 shooters on Saturday evening.... just out of range. Hung a new set yesterday and diving in after them today!

    When I was underspined, the illuminocks murdered my arrow flight. It was too much weight in the back end for the arrows to fly consistently.

    I did find this shed in Wyoming last fall while hunting antelope. This would be more in my range of shooters.

    This was the biggest buck we saw. Even alive wouldn't be a shooter. Either way it was a good learning experience and we saw some awesome elk. So I've marked it up as a learning experience and as noted likely won't be going back.
