Is the 300 WSM Dying?
When you say you have a magnum bolt and receiver, is it a WSM bolt or a standard WM bolt? They aren't the same and will pretty much limit you to whatever bolt face you have. I really like the WSM, it's become a pain to feed in the last couple of years...but I've been using it since 2006 so I... -

Nosler Rifles?
My M48 is throated long with a standard box, you're right...I can't reach the lands with anything that'll fit in the magazine. My M21 has a Wyatt's box and I can reach lands with almost any 30 cal bullet, including the 210 ABLR, and still get it in the magazine. -

Left hand quality rifle
You're talking about a Tikka.... my lefty son has a LH T3 in .270WIN. It shoots 1/2" groups with a half dozen factory hunting loads. -

budget Over/under shotgun.
Skip the budget O/Us and just buy a high quality autoloader. I love O/Us...but under $1800, you're getting a contract gun out of Turkey. -

Toyota Deals
Best bet I've found is to pay cash and order it. My son totaled his Crosstrek and we replaced it with a Tacoma. We had to order the truck with a $500 deposit...and wait about 7 weeks for delivery. If I recall, the 28 UL is pretty much 5lbs on the nose. It points almost effortlessly for quick shots at grouse and recoil is negligible. It was a little outclassed on sharp-tails, but in my area they were super spooky and flushing way out. For anything that'll hang tight, it's a hoot. There... -

Mack Bros action
I've got a Mack Bros. on my Nosler 21. Very nice action, clean machine work and it functions like a champ. At some point, a Defiance or other custom action might be "better"...but once you get into this level of action, they're all pretty darn good. -

Would you hunt with a cheap rifle?
What works...works. I've hunted with expensive rifles and some real cheap ones. I liked hunting with them all.
