I had never even heard of a Chinook....wish we had some of those in Michigan while I lived here!
Also, I've never even hunted out west before....so my first few years are going to involve lots of learning and low expectations. I definitely going to do some research on some of the units I should...
My Fiance just landed a new job in Great Falls, Montana. We are moving after the holidays. I am more than excited for the new hunting/fishing/backpacking opportunities that Montana has to offer. Any areas I should focus on with my scouting for elk/muleys/black bears/antelopes?
Its not the ttsx but for my Tikka 6.5 cm I'm shooting 129 grain Hornady SP's for practice/deer. Then I switch to the 127 grain LRX for hunting. SP's are dirt cheap and accurate, I'm getting .5 MOA with them
Since I posted this I have keyed in on the Nikon HG. BUT now I can get a screaming deal on a pair of Zeiss Victory SF 10x42. My question is, will I really be able to notice a difference? Is it worth the extra 500-600 dollars? When I say screaming deal I mean screaming deal.
I'm looking seriously at getting one of these Promaster tripods. Is the carbon fiber one really worth the $80 dollars more in price or should I just pick up an aluminum one?
