Im sure its just me, but seems like some people just like to start a pis##ng match with a topic just to see where it goes. Not just this topic but in other spots as well .Hope Im not out of line but I shoot a 223 pretty much every day and in my very limited opinion it is not a large animal...
Hunted with 2 buddies 2yrs. ago . packed in real meat for the first nights meal,6 day hike, got done with supper and asked if anybody wanted a toothpick? you would have thought I was santa claus.
Went for a hike last august, usually put in about 5mi. or so.Put in about a mile and saw a small bunch of deer with a little buck with them. Spent the next 3hrs. getting to 43yds. . Best training hike I had in a long time.
Archery is a addiction . You can break yourself with upgrades. If your happy with your groups out to 40 then shoot more. If you cant be satisfied with really good "no archer can" then get a second job because upgrades for a archer are like crack for a drugy.
For me its schnees beartooth .If im moving much at all there great.. We just had a 12 day stretch of -30 and I ended up wearing my beartooths over my 1yr. old arctic sport muck boots.
No reason you cant hunt sheds from the middle of may on,if thats your thing. Everybody talks about how mule deer need a hand but alot of those same people are the same ones that harass the hell out of em when they need a break the most.
