    Ordered a reamer from Manson about a week ago, curious what people are using for a sizing die? Was looking at a 6.5 prc redding bushing die but what would I do for the sizing button? Is there a 6mm replacement? Looking to keep it cost effective ish.

    Ran one of of each powder charge from 61-71 gr. Found pressure at 72gr on a later trip. 175 berger elite, fed once fired brass, fed lrm primers, seated boat tail at neck/shoulder junction.

    How many more I'm curious if it has something to do with the case volume. 17 hornet is a pretty small cartridge compared to say a 300 Wm. That 0.006 difference as a % of case volume of the hornet vs a Wm would be quite the difference no? I haven't done the math but seems like it could be enough?

    Hydrovac operator, suck lots of holes, bank lots of time, take a week for vacation with the wife, rest hunting and fishing. Need all that bank time as I'm not good at finding deers haha

    That's more rounds than I'll probably ever shoot out of a single rifle. I'd say the ackley is most likely my choice if I can round up some good brass.

    Barrel life with longer heavier bullets should get you somewhere close to 1000 rounds of barrel life I'd think? 100 FF cases isn't going to hurt me in the long run.

    I have lots of time, no children lol I think the magnum cartridges are out, along with the 284 as it won't fit in a SA 700 IIRC. I think I'm leaning towards the 243AI, but if I could find some LRP 6 creedmoor brass up here I'd probably go that direction

    I don't know if the extra cost of opening the bolt is worth the 6prc compared to the 243ai, considering I'll have a 22 inch barrel. Should be able to break 3000fps with it. I have a decent stock of h1000, n560, retumbo and staball Hd which should all work for the longer heavy projectiles.

    TL;DR Rem 700 SA - 243AI or 6prc I have a 1/7.5 twist barrel coming in 6mm, I also have a Remington 700 short action. I was leaning toward the 243AI but then saw THE 6 UM and then 6 prc (necked down 6.5 prc). The action I have on hand is a 308 bolt face, anyone see a problem having it opened up...
