    Great start to the year on April 1. One shot for the two birds…saving money on ammo this year! I have been tagless, so my dad and I got on another bird last weekend. Leaving for Nebraska in a few hours, Missouri opens Monday, Kansas opens Wednesday. Life is good! 🦃🦃🦃

    Anyone use Peleton or similar style bike?

    I have a Peloton and I am a fan. It’s an @$$ kicker if you want it to be. Don’t forget the $44/month fee on top of buying the bike. Peloton stock topped out over $150 during the pandemic and is trading for $4 today. I can’t imagine the future for Peloton is bright, and likely will be acquired...

    New rifle, need high cheek

    I like a high cheek. I’m not a big fan of adjustable stocks due to weight. My main two rifles are in an XLR chassis (adjustable) and an EH1 with a Triad Stock Pack. I didn’t think I would like the stock pack, but I am a huge fan.

    Following up... I never tried raccoon calling but did catch 31 raccoons, 4 opossums, and 4 skunks in DPs over the last couple of weeks. I will take it!

    I would heavily suggest planning ahead. Most outfitters with availability next year, except for those that are hanging on by random draws, have openings for a reason.

    A $6000 hunt with a Wyoming general tag or with luck in the New Mexico guided draw is much different than $6000 on an OTC hunt. In 2024, you aren't paying for bulls at $6000, you are paying for logistics and local expertise. The elk size/odds fall in line with the area from there.

    Do not hesitate to hunt with Chris at Compass West. It is a legit outfit. I hunted with them last year on a rifle elk hunt, and couldn't have been more pleased.
