This is for in Georgia or are you still intending to move to MT?
Your current desk job, is it in the construction industry area or what is your construction knowledge level? Plumbing?
11 month old female WPG here, probably getting close to 40lbs. Good size for the house and gets along with our indoors cat. On her first hunting season and has been doing great, I don't do shows, trials or any of that and have just taken her hunting. Her instinct has been great and she came from...
I just put a new set of the Hankook AT2's on my 1/2 ton, travel alot with lots of highway miles. They are nice on the highway but haven't had them on any serious backcountry yet. The AT2's are a new version of their old Dynapro's as I understand it. I've run those in the past and was always...
I'm on my 3rd season with an Orion 12ga, been very happy with it and not had any issues. They have it in 20 ga now too which I've been looking at but also see they have a new SxS 20 but I've yet to lay my hands on one.
We try to do a couple of trips a year also, late season. Just like it better, cooler and less people around. Get the Sportsmen atlas book with all the public land mapped by county and the walk-in book, scout out some decent spots, you'll find birds with a good dog.
I've been looking at the Dogtra Pathfinder 2, works through your phone and has a hand transmitter with one button that set from your phone can vibrate, tone or nick...but again you have to set if from on your phone settings. It also has some E fence options that I'm interested in, been trying to...
Not to hijack the thread but has anyone used the Dogtra Pathfinder 2 with it's E-fence options? Got an acre lot and it would be nice to get notified when she's beginning to wander off the property as I'm distracted doing whatever else outdoors?
I picked up a Weatherby Orion a couple of years ago. So far I've shot 2 100rds of sporting clays and 2 upland hunting seasons without issue and like it just fine. You can get it in either 12 or 20 gauges.
Hoping for a good recovery to the both of them and get back out there. That's a worthy friend to have along.
I'm as watchful as possible when out and I'm alone more often than not, revolver and spray with me every time too.
