Colorado Unit 65?
Will be there east of Ridgeway on the 13-20th. Plenty of elk. Hunted there the last 3 years and have seen elk each year. Nice bulls, not monsters but biggest was prob 320 in six X. Just about like anywhere, 2 miles in and pretty much all alone. -

Kuiu "Made in China"
Kuiu was never made in the US... It was assembled in North America and all i ever saw was guys bashing Jason for not delivering.. He made a change and now you don't like it.... I'm starting to think your wives and girlfriends are right saying "all you do is complain".... and you know they do... -

alarm clock
iPhone clock.. turn the wireless network off until you need it, and you have a decent camera as well. I take a solio charger as well.. charged it before i left this year and it charged the phone twice before having to open it up for the solar charger- JDC

New Job---bad thing is Virginia is a little farther from Colorado than Texas
Well the new job has taken me to Virginia. Unfortunately that is the wrong direction from the Rockies...Any other Roksliders in the tidewater area? Guess I'm flying from now on to all my Western hunts.- JDC

Who's plans have changed so far this year?
Had a great week in CO planned for Sept 10th. Then I got a call on a job I was hoping for but they didn't want to wait until Sept 17th for me to start. So I ended up going solo for part of the first week. Didn't hear a bull but saw plenty and got within range of four small bulls. Didn't let the... -

|Question for some of you CO boys...
yes you can walk through a limited entry unit to get to your OTC unit. Cant have release on, arrow nocked etc... if you are bow hunting. Gun hunting can't have rounds in the chamber or magazine.. That is my understanding from CO game and fish. -

Hating my Kenetreks...
suggestion on the lacing of the boots... look on Backpacker.com to give you some ideas on how to lock in different sections of your boots to keep from slipping.. I thought it was a joke until I tried a few different lacing techniques and it cured a couple of problems I had. -

New String/Cable Delima...Need Opinions
I wouldn't change them at this point... Ordered my Korbin strings on Monday, he made them Tues, I got them Wed and picked up the bow yesterday morning at my bowshop. Its within an inch of where it was shooting.. -

Tarps vs tents.
I couldn't decide so i went with a Kifaru Sawtooth...Didnt need the stove last year during my Sept elk hunt but this year the wife is going with me, so it will definitely go.. -

Just pulled up the news to hear of the shooting in CO last night.. Our hearts go out to all those affected by this mad man. It is beyond my ability to comprehend why anyone would feel the need or desire to do something like this.- JDC
