thermal expansion of metal is physics. hot thin walled barrel = larger ID = POI shift you may not be seeing it on your .308, but on a cartridge with 10-20gr more powder (270, 280ai) and not waiting long enough between consecutive shots, it can happen.

Springfield Waypoint 6.5 prc gun and company problems

Well Fffff. Just ordered a 6mm waypoint yesterday. I had seen this thread during my research and thought it was a problem with PRC only. (Sorry you had troubles OP). Had heard nothing but good things on 6.5 / .308. Guess I have two things to check before I accept it now, feeding/ejecting...
