Waiting on the rifle to come in, but I’m doing a barrel swap the day I get it. I’m guessing it will be in a week or two if you are interested I’ll make you a deal on it.
Pockets are very usable. Without anything in the center they will flop around a little. One compression strap around the middle keeps them very stable though. Plenty of room for puffy jacket, rain gear, kill kit ect. I do have the Sherman pocket in place of a grab it for a little extra space...
I picked up the 1/8” Dyneema cord. It has twice the tensile strength of 550 cord with a minimal weight increase (I think it was like 2oz for 100ft). Just got the whole setup this year so haven’t had a chance to try it yet though.
Glock 20 on a blade-tech level 3 retention holster with mole attachment to a Kifaru belt/pack. Did quite a bit of research on ammo and went with the Underwood ammo solid copper penetrators. The 140 grainers were getting the same muzzle energy as the 220grain buffalo bore if I remember correctly...
Wondering if anyone has tried these? Obviously it won’t hoist a whole elk, but I was thinking they could be useful in holding a leg/quarter out of the way while working on skinning or quartering when you are solo.
