I load on a rock chucker, a RCBS turret and recently purchased a Dillon 650 from someone who upgraded to a 750. I wouldn’t load my hunting rounds on the 750. I like to have particular control over each step with my hunting rounds.
The rock chucker vs the turret. I load most of my hunting...
How much are you planning to load volume wise? The Dillon’s are really designed for high volume reloading. While you certainly can load 300 win mag and 308 on a progressive it’s not how I do it. If it’s precision hunting rounds you are after buy a RCBS rock chucker. Their slow compared to any...
I use my 30-30 for moose up in AK during the winter. Just dropped one back on March 9th if I recall the date correctly.
Leverevolution with a ftx bullet. It’ll drop almost anything if your shot placement is right. Wouldn’t want to chance it on a Bear myself but anything else I wouldn’t worry...

Large rifle case feeder plate
Bullet tray and assembly
Tool set with holder

This caribou got shot with a 6.5 Creedmoor from 450 yards. There was no more cover and a deep ravine between us that limited closing anymore ground. That would not have been a makeable or ethical shot with my 30-30. This one is from this past fall 2023.
This caribou got shot with a 30-30 from about 50 feet away. The 30-30 was one of two rifles carried up a steep hill after crossing two valleys following this one and the bigger one I took with the other rifle. This was in 2020.
Back in 2020 or 2021 I inadvertently stumbled upon Peterson brass while going to pickup a part from the John Deere dealership just up the road. After the guys at the desk got done hearing my long stories of being from AK they gave me a tour of the facility. Really cool place.
It has a much wider spray than a slug or 00. I use shotgun for ptarmigan and grouse regularly at 10 yards or so. I’m also not saying you should wait until the bear is at the end of the barrel before you shoot. If I’m in thick brush like I was this weekend and was packing a shotgun instead of my...
