2020 Field Report - Rifle Scopes

Nightforce NXS 2.5-10 X 42. Great for range, shot a cow elk @ 180 and discovered later the exposed windage dial had been moved going into/out of the scabbard on the horse. We did not recover the elk, and I learned a lesson about checking dials every time I touch the rifle. I'm considering...

Whatever method you use, please be respectful to the game and only shoot in cases you're guaranteed to be able to retrieve a cripple. I have a hard time with people who kill or wound game hoping they might be able to bring it to hand, vs knowing they can. It's wanton waste.

Side effects of lasik/prk and the outdoor experience

I had Lasik 20 years ago, then a PRK adjustment 5 years ago. No side effects, no dry eyes, etc. Just do it.
