Do you still bring a paper map and compass?

I use OnX as my main GPS and I recently got a Garmin inreach explorer as well for this season. My Inreach will be mostly for SOS and gps backup. Would you still bring a map and compass as a back up for your back up?

How long will you leave your bag/quilt/down layers compressed?

A few days but I'm pretty anal even though I've read countless times it will be fine. I too like to wait until the last minute to pack my quilt

Camera Lens narrow it down

It really depends what you want to photograph. If you want to get landscape the 18-55 will be perfect but if you're trying to photograph animals you'll need the 75-300 for sure

How many game bags do I need?

I tried searching but couldn't find an answer. I have the caribou carnivore III bags which are 5 16x30 bags for elk so I'm sure I won't need all 5. They don't take up much room or weight but I can fit my knife and paracord in the supplied bag easily, if I don't have all 5 bags in there.
