    Montana season change proposal

    FWP should have been reducing mulie doe tags years ago in my area. The Garnets have been buck permit for a long time. Very tough to draw tag. Season change wont help. Tooo many predators, cats and wolves, is biggest problem.

    How Many 300+ Inch Bulls Have You Killed

    Took me over 30 years to get my first BIG bull . Perfect 7x7 368. The elk gods picked me that day. 2 more after that. A 324 6x and a 301 6x. They hard to come by . I put a lot of time into elk hunting.

    Silencerco Scythe TI review

    The Scythe titanium mounts are only threaded 5/8 and 1/2 inch. I need a 9/16 x 24 for my scythe to use on a different rifle , but wondering how much those Bravo mounts weigh vs the titanium ? I asume the bravo are steel ??

    Rangefinder recommendations

    I have used Leica for over 25 years with no problems, but the 2400 I have was giving me fits trying to range elk in the hayfields , on flat ground . The vortex 4000 didn’t give those issues. Beam difference I guess .

    RL 23 and 7828 are my favorites in 7 Saum . Case not big enough for good velocity from H1000.

    I tried some N165 in 22 inch barrel with 162 x just to see how it preform. Went up to 70 grains and got 3090. Have not tried any more yet.

    7 PRC Powder

    I have been working on a new Bergara carbon with 22 inch barrel, 175 LRAB , RL 26 shoot good at 3030 FPS. Could probably get over 3050. Have not run it up to presure yet. 69 gr H1000 is 2970. Have to compress it over 70 gr. Too bulky .

    115 BERGERS have worked very well for me in 6 creedmoor on deer, antelope and elk.
