Merino Base layers

Another vote for black Ovis if your looking for something affordable. I wore the boxers and base layer shirt the last two years and have been super comfortable.

Mid-day hunting strategies

My buddy killed one last year by walking a ridge above a north facing slope and cow calling. Bull answered from his bed and we dropped in close to him, set up, started calling, and he came right in. It happened about 2 PM.

Best sleeping pads for a side sleeper?

I have a klymit static v 2 and really like it. I side sleep on it very well and it’s less than $50 I think.

Best 0 degree budget sleeping bag?

I’ll vouch for hyke and byke, I have the Eolus 0 degree down bag. At 3 lb and $160 I think it’s a great value.
