I don't have NL's so I can't compare there but I do have 12's and a pair of 15 slc's. As a coues hunter as well I pretty much always go to the 15's.

Otter Attack!

Fire or no fire

For me it all about time and effort nothing to do with smell. Fire is a natural part of the ecosystem and I don't think the scent bothers animals.
