    Kuiu Guide vs. Axis pants

I've had both. Started with the Guide, and then bought the Axis to check out. Fit is pretty similar. The Axis is slightly warmer, and with the windproof/waterproof panels, I felt like it was a no brainer to keep the Axis. Sold the Guide.

    Kuiu Offerings

Exactly. This is the time of year when they want minimal inventory, both for taxes, and the fact that it is the off season.

    Sierra Trading Post Code

Anyone have codes for today? I used to get these every day, but I haven't seen one in months. TIA!

    TI Goat Shipping Procedure

I always pay them via Paypal and they update the payment receipt with tracking info. Very quick shipping.

Eddie Bauer Sleeping Bags - Half Off Today/Any good?

Interesting. I tried checking out with the promo code, and it didn't work. Were you able to complete the purchase for 50% off?

Eddie Bauer Sleeping Bags - Half Off Today/Any good?

You may have figured out by now that it excludes sleeping bags.

    Anyone ever broken...

About 7-8 years ago I caught my pinky toe running up the steps, for about 3 days I limped around thinking it was broken. Then I caught it on the bed post. Turns out it was dislocated and the bed post put it back in place. Felt great after that!

    Gila New Mexico Rattlesnakes?

Hunted twice down there during archery elk season for a total of almost 30 days and countless miles of terrain covered. I HATE snakes of every kind, and was terrified that there’d be rattlers behind every rock. The locals all said they were hibernating, or we were at too high of elevation. It...

    Conundrum..

I found out last Friday that I'm in the same boat as you. At first I didn't believe the pee stick, but it's been confirmed by a couple blood tests. Rough due date is looking like October 11th. I have an app in for a general tag in Wyoming, and 3 different cow hunts in October, which could all...

    Hemorrhoid flare ups

I don't know everything, but I do know that our hunting camp consists of many things, and a guaranteed item on each of our lists is baby wipes. I have them in my pack for the on the fly emergencies, a small pack in a cargo pocket for the drive to/from, a small pack in my hunting pants pocket, a...

    Options

Oh man...I know nothing about CO elk hunting, but I've heard plenty about what the rifle season is like. Like smooshing a hill of ants dressed in orange. I DO know a little about elk hunting with a bow, and it is incredibly difficult. Combining the two...I'd either save my money, or go with a...

    Stove to go with Cimarron

It's a pretty small door, but you can fit a pretty good sized chunk of wood in there. For me, I wanted a flat top stove for cooking, but I didn't want the full box stove, so the WIFI was a really nice fit. It looks like the Lite Outdoors has a good sized door, and I like the baffle design.

    Stove to go with Cimarron

I went with the medium Titanium Goat WiFi and 6’ pipe. Actually just fired it up tonight for the first time. Roughly 30 degrees in MN tonight, and it had it an easy 150 degrees with the damper open and door off. I’d never do that under normal circumstances, but I was setting the stove pipe and...

    Hot tent stove

The Ruta Locura is virtually (if not exactly) identical to the TiGoat WIFI in large. My research shows that RL was part of TG and they split. Someone else may know more.

    The quest for hunting boots...

I don’t have much advice, other than I feel your pain. I’m on at least a dozen pairs of different boots over the last few years. Never thought I had any abnormalities with my feet, but something about the boots always ends up not working for me. The only ones that work are the Salomons, which...
